Durng a hospital epidemic, a majority of Salmonella tvphimurium isolates were sensitive to all antibacterial drugs; but approximately 3 percent were resistant to three unrelated ones, and that multiple resistar.ce was transmrssible, in mixed broth culture, to Shigella sonnei.
